Getting the Runaround with
GLENN TILBROOK

Glenn Tilbrook picture

On Thursday 26 October 2000 I went to the Guildhall in Gloucester to see former SQEEZE Front man GLENN TILBROOK. Whilst I can't remember much about this performance (it was five and a half years ago) I do remember that he did a lot of acoustic versions of Squeeze tracks which probably included TAKE ME I'M YOURS, UP THE JUNCTION, LABELLED WITH LOVE, ANOTHER NAIL IN MY HEART, and COOL FOR CATS.

I do remember that he performed GOODBYE GIRL because as he sang the track he got off the stage and continued to sing and play whilst running around the audience.

Another two tracks I remember being played were IS THAT LOVE and a Smokey Robinson cover which I think was TRACKS OF MY TEARS for which we, (the audience) had to be the backing singers.

Considering the concert was just Glenn with the guitar (plus the audience) I thought the versions of Squeeze tracks were excellent and I really enjoyed the show.
